Celebrating Junior Tennis Excellence
Over the past two weekends, Ireland’s brightest young tennis talents showcased their skills at the National Indoor Championships. Hosted at Castleknock Lawn Tennis Club and the National Tennis Centre, the finals delivered exceptional matches across all age categories, proving the depth of talent in Irish tennis.
U12 Champions
The Junior U12 National Indoor Championships, held at the National Tennis Centre, provided a fitting finale to this year’s event. Despite challenges posed by weather disruptions, the players put on an incredible display. Charlie McVeigh triumphed over Ross Connolly in a brilliant match, while Isabel Fiala Li defeated Lucy Slattery in an equally impressive contest.
U14 Champions
Congratulations to Maja Trojanowska and Ciarán O’Donnell, who emerged victorious after two thrilling weekends of competition. A big well done to their opponents, Robyn Kennedy and Rory Stewart, who played fantastic tennis throughout the tournament.
U16 Champions
In the U16 finals, Kate Gunne and Patrick Breen took home the titles with stellar performances. Hats off to Lauren Dunne and Narcis Alexandru Damian for pushing their opponents to deliver their very best.
U18 Champions
The U18 category saw Jenny Marsh and Eoghan Jennings claim the honours in two exciting finals. Well played to their opponents, Chloe Collins and Michael O’Leary, who showcased excellent skill and determination.
