The historic Fitzwilliam Lawn Tennis Club played host to the 15th William Fry Junior Lawn Tennis Championships this week, a storied event that continues to stand as one of the oldest and most prestigious in the world of amateur sport.
The tournament, a proving ground for future tennis pros and rising stars, drew an impressive field of over 500 competitors. The week-long competition culminated in a thrilling Finals Day on Saturday, August 24th, where the next generation of tennis talent showcased their skills on one of the sport’s most iconic stages.
Adding to the celebrations was a milestone of significant note: these Championships marked the 49th that Henry Lappin has refereed, a remarkable achievement in itself.
A massive thank you to all at Fitzwilliam for hosting such an incredible event.
